2 Day Kayak & Wild Camp; Cornwall

Description:

“This touring weekend consists of 2 day paddle with 1 overnight camp with the aim of giving first time or those new to expeditioning, the chance to plan, prepare and pack for a paddle and self sufficient wildcamp.  The days paddling will be designed to show off the best of Cornwall’s coastline whilst practicing launching,  landing and handling laden boats.  We have chosen to work with this like-minded team of paddlers, with their wealth of international paddling experience and local knowledge so we know you will have a fun and enthusiastic weekend, be challenged if you choose, and see some of Cornwall's secluded locations.

Outline:

• Sat: Arrive at kit store for refreshments and and initial meet & greetCheck the conditions, the day’s paddle options and organise kit
• Travel to start location and work through packing boats ready to set off for a day on the water
• Arrive at preselected camp location, set up camp and cook.
• Sun; De-camp, repacking boats for a return to our launch location for de-kitting and debriefing
• Time Allotment: 2 days
• Location: Kit store based nr Falmouth.  Trips run from various locations in Cornwall with upto 1 hr transit.
• Number of participants: 6 (minimum of 4 to run)

Pre-requisites:

• 18+ years of age
• Intromediate (please book a Discovery Conversation if you’re not sure)
• Participants must have personal transport.
• You will be required to bring ALL your own camping kit.  Kit list will be made available for attendees.

Cost & Dates:

• Price: 2 day Explore Cornwall £250 pp (excluding food & accommodation).
• Dates: 24th & 25th June 2023
• Equipment: Boats and all paddling equipment can be provided but you’re welcome to bring your own
• Accommodation: Friday night camping @ £10pppn on site must be pre-booked directly @ Tregedna Farm.  (Quote Sea Kayak Cornwall on booking). Falmouth has many alternative airbnbs, bnbs and hotels if you prefer.
